Description: This course examines the literature of the earliest Christian scriptures, in a historical context, concentrating on the New Testament, & provides a historical context of the origins of Christianity. Theological themes will be observed and studied in this course. Rather, the importance of the New Testament & other early Christian documents as ancient literature & as sources for historical study will be emphasized.
