Description: Art Appreciation is an introduction to the appreciation of the visual arts. This course examines important examples of visual art drawn from a wide variety of media and cultures. The focus is on helping students understand and appreciate how visual art works are made and how they function and communicate within their societal contexts. This course is not for Art majors.
